Blue Zone Creations is based in Playa Avellanas, also known as the "Little Hawaii" of Costa Rica.
Playa Avellanas is located in the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica, slightly north of the Nicoya Peninsula. The Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica is one of the five recognized Blue Zones worldwide. These areas are known for their high concentration of centenarians, where many residents live to be over 100 years old.
We utilize timber forested from this area, as it grows slower and is prized for its density and hardness.
